Year of the dragonfly.

Last week was my birthday and I got dangly dragonfly earrings from my mom and dad and a pair of non dangly earrings. The dragonfly stands for growing up, which makes seance because it was my 13Th birthday. I also got Wii sports resort, Apples to Apples, a turtle necklace, and a set of shower gel and lotion. For dinner we went to Fudrukers after that we went to barns and nobles then Trader Joe's and finally the Northwestern book store. When we got home we played Apples to Apples, Mom won.

Candle

Yesterday at our 4-H meeting we made a candle out of a little milk carton, melted wax, ice cubes, and some string. The first one my brother made broke so he had to make a new one. My candle is purple but my brothers is red.

Medieval weapons.

For History last week we learned about King John, Richard the Lionhearted, and Robin Hood. For the craft we made a quiver with arrows.

Things need for this project are: tape, scissors brown paper, toilet paper or paper towel tube, glue, straws, colored paper any color, and some yarn.

Quiver.

1. Cut the brown paper so it will cover the tube.

2. Glue the brown paper on the tube.

3. Cut a small circle that will cover one end of the tube so the arrows don't fall out.

4. Then cut a piece of yarn and tape it to the bottom of the quiver and the inside on the top.

Arrows

1. Cut one end of the straw to a point.

2. Cut out arrow heads and tape or glue them to the pointed end of the straw.

3. Then cut some feathers for the back of the straw.

For Christmas from Santa I got the American Girl Tear Up This Book. After I looked it over I made a wallet out of a magazine page. Here is the directions.

Things you need: old comic book or magazine, clear packing tape, scissors, ruler, and a pencil.

1. Cut out a 7 by 6 from the comic book or magazine.

2. Cover both sides of the paper with the clear packing tape trim the extra tape with the scissors.

3. Fold up 2 1/2 inches long ways.

4. Tape the sides up.

Here is a picture of the one I made!

5. Put some money in it and fold in half.
