Decoupaged Plate Collage
This is my decoupage foam plate. Things you need: foam plate, glue stick, mod podge, a foam brush, newspapers, and magazines. Go through and cut out pictures you want and glue them down. Then you just mod podge over it let it dry and put a few more layers on.
We made this at our co-op so the kids had pictures of fish, trucks, bikes, animals, and all sorts of other things.

Name Monster
This is my name monster! His name is Jeremy, he has boxing gloves on his hands, an ear warmers on his ears, and a tie with hearts on it. His nose it crooked and blue because he broke it. He is very proud of his teeth which is why he is smiling so big.
To make the name monster you fold a piece of paper the long way and then write your name all the way across the paper. If you have a short name, you might have to put you middle and last initial. Then cut around your name but, do not cut the folded edge. Open up the paper and decide which end is the top and start coloring!

Identity Picture
This is an identity picture. I drew this for an art class that a help teach at a little kid co-op. You start by folding the paper into 16 squares then you put your name all scrambled around and start filling in the other squares with things you like. Some of mine are goats, 4-H, Justin Bieber, ultimate frisbee, and reading.
Some of the things the kids chose were favorite kind of ice cream, light sabers, dirt bikes, not the color pink, and fishing.
How To Float A Cow With Balloons
This is a picture I drew for a class I help with at a little kid co-op. This picture shows combining primary colors. First you draw an animal, they were studying animals of Minnesota so I choose a cow, or what ever you want, a bus, a house a monster, a shark etc. The three balloons are the primary colors, red, yellow and blue. Where they overlap each other is where the color blending comes in . The yellow and red make orange, the red and blue make purple and the blue and yellow would make green.
The kids liked it and they had a lot of fun drawing the animals. Most of them choose pigs oddly enough. There are all boys in the class so their drawing were let's just say...interesting.

Altered Notepads!!!
For the Altered notepad you need: A notepad, paper, glue, paper cutter or scissors, and decorations.
Step one: Cut the paper to the size of your notepad
Step two: Put on stickers or whatever you have to decorate your notepad with.
Step three: Glue the paper to both or one side of the notepad.
Now you have a beautiful notepad to write all your important info in. Enjoy!

Take Me Home
The new One Direction CD, Take Me Home, came out on Tuesday!!! I chose to buy the one that has the extra songs on it and only the phone booth is colored. The red phone booth does add emphasis but, I wish they had left it all colored because the boys are black and white. It is a really good CD, all of the songs are "amazayn". I can't decide on a favorite.
There are 18 songs on the CD. Two of these are songs from the previous CD. They range from being sweet and tender like Little Things to wild and hyper like Live While Were Young. I am really happy that Niall and Louis have more solos on this CD. I also like that they helped write more of the songs.
They have a good balance of slow songs to fast songs and did a really good job of spreading them through out the CD. I think the best fast songs are Heart Attack, Rock Me, and I Would because they have really nice beats and are fun to sing along to. The best slow songs are Last First Kiss, Little Things, Summer Love, They Don't Know About Us, and Irresistible because they are really sweet and appeal to the female audience.
I would recommend this album to everyone.

Clyde the dragon!
This weekend I was looking up crocheted animals on pinterest and I found this cute little dragon! He is so cute! I named him Clyde and he is just a baby dragon so he does not breath fire. Clyde also has a little brother who is blue and very cute. He has not been named yet. I think am going to make lots more of these little guys!
This pattern was pretty easy. The things that were the hardest was the starting of the head and connecting the feet, otherwise it was splendid. You can find the pattern here. I added some of my own touches to him. I used a bigger hook for Clyde so he is bigger, I also used polar fleece instead of felt. So for his ears I had to put two pieces of fleece together with two tooth picks in between so they will stand up and I also made them more of a triangle. I put his tummy on upside down and smaller from the one in the pattern. His horns are not a cone shape like the originals. They also used embroidery floss I just used yarn for his mouth and fang and the lines on his tummy are not floss ether. The arms I put half way down the body instead of right by the head.
When you put the tail on you should put it a little higher up then mine is because he will stand but not that well and falls easily.

State Fair!!!!! :D
On Monday my family and I went to the state fair!
We went to the state fair because I had a 4-H needle arts project on display. I made two crochet coffee cups and three doughnuts. We woke up at five in the morning and left at about six got there at like 8:30. I got a blue ribbon on my project! I really liked the judge I had this year. Some times you will get a judge that doesn't say much or is kinda mean but, I had a very nice one :)
When we were waiting for my judging time we went to the Education building. While walking around we got to this booth that had a Justin Bieber cut-out at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(I don't know why they would put a different shirt on him when the one he was wearing was perfectly fine) I freaked out and kinda yelled Justin Bieber and ran to get my mom so she could take my picture by him :)
One of my good friends just entered a convent :'( and for her graduation gift I gave her a stuffed cat. So when she left she gave me the cat to take care of. So I then took the cat (who's name is Clover) to the state fair so I could send pictures of her to my friend. Here are the pictures I sent. We then left the fair at about 4:30, which is when rush hour starts, so we went geocaching instead of sitting in traffic! We got home at like 9:00. It was a long day and we were gone about 15 hours :P but, it was super fun and I can't wait till next year!!!

After my judging we were hungry so we went and got some thing to eat. We always get this tornado potato thing that is a couple potatoes cut up in one long strip and then fried. I always get a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls they make them all day long so they are fresh and they are SO good!!! We also had milk and cookies! I also had a Falafle. I was going to get one last year but forgot so I had to wait a whole year to get one and it wasn't that great :( It is not the kind of spices and stuff we normally eat. I was disappointed.
When we were looking at the stalls in the grand stand I saw a One Direction purse and I was trying to get my dad to buy it for me but he wouldn't :'(

Kool-aid Dyed Hair
This is my new hair!!!! My mom will not let me dye my hair because of all the harsh chemicals :( So while I was on Pinterest I found how to dye my hair with Kool-aid!
What you need.
1 cup of water
packs of Kool-aid ( How many packets you use depends on how dark your hair is)
towel so it does not get on you shirt
First heat your water until it is boiling. Then pour out Kool-aid packets into the water and stir till dissolved. Then dip your hair in the mixture (find a comfortable position before you start) Have your hair in there for at least 10 minuets.
When I did my hair I dipped it twice. The first time my hair was in the stuff for 20 minuets and the second time for 10 minuets.
The after picture is one week from when I dyed my hair and it is still just as dark as it was when I dyed it.

Maranda and Willow :D
This summer we go two new bunnies!! Because the girl we have now will not have any babies! We got Miranda and Willow. Miranda is very naughty she always empties their water bottle and tips over the food dish. She also jump off the walls of her pen.
Miranda is a lot bigger then Willow, I'm not sure why as they came from the same place and are related so I don't know why Willow is smaller.
I had Miranda out today and the cat came over and when ever he came by her she ran over and looked at him. It was so cute!! She was also eating a piece of bark and digging. She would dig for a couple of seconds and then look around like "I hope no one sees me!!" and then would start digging again.
When I went to put Miranda back in her house I saw that the corner of the pens clip thingy had come off. So I got some rope and tied it on so they would not get out until we fixed it. While I was tying the rope on the corner Willow came and was trying to pull it in and chew it up. She did stop pulling on it after a couple of minutes so that was good.
Willow on the other hand is very calm.

Penguin Nails
Today when my mom was on the computer she found a nail tutorial web site!!! I love to paint my nails! So while I was looking at all the different nails I saw penguin nails! One of my friends and I have this thing where we are penguin sisters so when ever I see penguin stuff I think of her. We both kind of collect penguin things now. These nails were a lot easier to do then I thought they would be. I think they ended up quite nice and actually look like penguins. I hate when I see really cool nails and I can't do them because they are obviously professionally done!
1. Start with a plain nail.
2. Paint your nail blue.
3. With white paint a round nail shape but leave some blue on the side. (the white is the tummy)
4. Use orange for the feet and beak and black for the eyes(I do not have black so I used purple). To paint the feet get almost all of the polish off the brush and do little swipes. For the beak just do a little dot and try and make it longish so it looks like a beak. For the eyes do two dots.

Stephen Crane
For a CLEP book I have to read books by all these different authors. And the latest one I had to read a book on was Stephen Crane. The I book I read was (didn't finish reading :P) "The Red Badge of Courage." This was a very boring book, and I mean like clean out the barn instead of reading it kind of book! I read to chapter 11 and then the last chapter. I would not recommend this book, unless you like boring books about war and main characters who think to much how the war should be and what it isn't and how he's convinced their going to die. And boring stuff like that. But if you like that by all means don't let me stop you! Any ways I wrote a paper on Stephen Crane. I found it very hard to wright about his style of writing so here is the paper so if you may ever need to wright a paper on Stephen Crane, you might be able to remember this and maybe it will help. I always wright a little about the author at the end so that's why there is some information on him at the end of the paper.
Stephen Crane
Stephen Crane wrote about realism, naturalism, and
impressionism. Common themes in is
righting involve fear, spiritual crises and social isolation. Naturalism refers to the way that Crane felt
that humans didn’t have control over nature.
Stephen Crane was born on November 1st
1871. Crane was the eighth surviving
child of his parents. He started writing
at the age of four, and had some articles in published in papers by the age of
16. He left school in 1891 and started
working as a reporter and righter. His
first novel was “Maggie: A Girl of the
Streets.” Crane won international
acclaim for his 1895 Civil War novel “The Red Badge of Courage”, which he
wrote without having any battle
experience.
The focus of Crane’s writing is often centered around
man’s conflict with himself. For
example, in “The Red Badge of Courage”, the main character, Henry Flemming,
struggles with his ideals on what he thought war was going to be like and isn’t
and how he wants to be brave but isn’t.
He plays a lot of dialog in his head that doesn’t actually come to
fruition when the scene actually comes to pass.
Crane also tended to write from the unpopular point of
view. He writes instead about the lower
class and their struggles or the dark side of war instead of romanticizing the
events and eras in his books.
Another reoccurring theme in his writing is how man is
against nature and doesn’t have a lot of control over his destiny.
On June 5th, 1900 Crane died of tuberculosis in a Black Forest sanatorium (a health
spa) in Germany at the age of 28.

Baby goats!!!!!!!!!!!
Last Wednesday Calliope had babies!! She had a boy and a girl. The boy who was born firsts name is Giles. He is white with some blackish-brown spots. He had a harder birth because only one of his legs was forward when he was born. The girl was born second. Her name is La la Lola ( it is like that so it is four syllables long). She had both feet forward so she had a very easy birth. Lola is a light brown with a dark strip down her back, with a white and black head. She also has white legs with black knee pads on her front legs. They were small but are getting bigger and eating a lot and soon I probably won't be able to pick them up. They are very cute!!
Feather extension!!!!!
I got a feather extension!!! A couple of weeks ago at the grocery store the girl who checked us out had a feather extension. Then last week, when we went to get my mom's glasses adjusted, we saw a display for them and though they were even cooler. On Saturday we saw the girl again and asked her about it. I just got mine yesterday and it's so cool!! It's a strip of purple hair with a pink feather and three long white and brown ones. You could pick from a clip-on one or you could get one glued on. I got mine glued on because I knew that if I got a clip on one I would not wear it very much. You can wash it and every thing because it is real hair and the feathers can get wet because they are for fly fishing. If any one is thinking of getting one you should because they are so cool and look great!!!! I have a friend who I think will probly get one because I got one.

Hub 3DW :(
This fall we got the Hub channel. During the week at night from 7:00 to 10:30 they play old TV shows, such as Family Ties, Happy Days, Lavern and Shirley, Batman, and a couple of others. But the Hub has 3DW (3 Day Weekends) (which I hate) which means that on Fridays I don't get to see the TV shows I like. I still do school on Fridays so I should get to see the shows I like. My favorite Show that is on the Hub is Family Ties. It's my favorite because Michael J. Fox is in it. Family Ties is on at nine. When I first saw it I was expecting to watch Happy Days because they switched times. This Saturday ABC Family had on Back to the Future 1, 2, and 3 on so I got to see him on Saturday. I missed the second one so I only saw the third and first one. The first one was on after the third so now I only have to see the second one!!

Sewing camp!!!!!
Sewing camp!!! Friday night and Saturday was our county's sewing camp. On Friday night we made potato bags for a community service project. You would think sewing a potato bag would be easy right? Wrong! I had to rip out a lot be cause I sewed it the wrong way the first couple of times. They didn't have a lot of potato bag fabric cut out so some people made wheelchair caddies for the people in the nursing homes to sit on. Saturday was the day you made what ever you signed up to make.
This year made a messenger bag and my brother made a quilted pillow. My brother cut his finger on the rottery cutter when he was cutting his squares for his pillow. He has been kinda sick all week so he was sniffing and coughing all day. When we were leaving he started coughing except this time he threw up. We had just finished talking to someone from our club so she got us a Ziploc bag for us.

My Birthday!!!
Friday was my golden birthday! I got two boxes of presents. In one box was a Webkinz fox from my brother. I named her Silky Nicole. The other box was a box of smaller gifts from my Mom and Dad. In that box was nail polish, a peel off face mask, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box DS game, sunglasses, a punch needle of a cow jumping over the moon, a hoop for the punch needle, and a Bert's Bees lip balm. We went to Pizza Ranch with Grandma Pat. She got me a ceramic birthday girl and a "Are you smarter than a 5Th grader" game. There were no movies that I wanted to see in theaters so we went and bought four! I got all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean and another one. The weekend Pirates marathon is over and there is still one movie left to watch. We watched the last Pirates one yesterday. I got a cheese cake for my birthday because I really like them and we don't have it often. We have two birthdays in a row at our house. It's my birthday, then Mom's so we have a lot of excitement!

Puppy Bear
Hi, I'm Puppy Bear. Mom left the computer so I'm going to write a post. I'm the boss of the bed what I says goes. I'm the best kid on the bed out of all of them. Bilbo is my little buddy that I take care of and look after. I like to play Iron chef Bed Stadium against Bilbo. I sneak out and bring snacks back to the bed. Things I do to annoy Mom are bouncing up and down saying "Sheboygan" over and over, frowning, and other things. I'm planning a fundraiser to get a new smock for Sly. His is old and saggy so he needs a new one and because I can't have shabby dressed people on my bed.
More about Bert!
Bert, our Senegal parrot, does not like green beauty masks. Last night I had one on and he freaked out. He flapped around his house and squawked. I went out of the room right away and he calmed down. Now we know not to do that again. We changed his toys the other day and one of them has a bell on it. We can hear him as he dings it but when we go to look at him he stops when we get in there. It is very hard to sneak up on him because the floor creaks and he is a very good listener. Bert also really likes peanuts. I think he likes the salted ones better than the unsalted ones. He holds them in his left foot and slowly pulls off pieces of shell and nibbles out the nut. He also like popcorn, but most of it falls apart while he tries to eat it.
My new camera!!!!!!!
I just got my camera for Christmas!!!! It is a black Samsung PL100. It has a rechargeable battery which is really nice. It shows the time and has zoom in that I just found. This camera is a lot smaller and skinnier then my last one. I had also gotten that one for Christmas (it was pink) three years ago. It broke at a dance show. It was sitting on a chair and a girl was going around flipping up the seats and knocked my camera on the floor and it broke. The family just pick up their things and moved. They didn't say any thing. This year I asked for a new camera. I'm so happy I got one, it is so handy to have when you go places and don't want to carry the big camera.
